EBF is a privately-owned SEC-registered investment advisor. The firm was founded in 1988 by the three individuals who were the pioneers of alternative investing and trading at Cargill in the mid-1980s. Since that time, EBF has raised and invested billions of dollars in fourteen separate funds. These funds have pursued a variety of different strategies - market-neutral and value. Current assets under management equal $1.5 billion in five funds. Four of these five funds are long-term lock-up structures. EBF employs a stable team of thirty-six professionals, including six partners who average twenty-three years experience. Limited partners include leading endowments, foundations, pension plans, and family offices.
